This course is to allow Mercy Ascot RNs and Anaesthetic technicians to gain competency in collecting venous blood samples for analysis.
Competency requires:
1. eLearning course completion.
2. Practical teaching session facilitated by the Clinical Practice Team & Documented on Trendcare
3. Successful completion of three Phlebotomy Skill Validation Assessments, sighted by either a member of the Clinical Practice Team, experienced credentialed colleague or CNM/CATM and recorded on TrendCare competency record updated by CNM or Clinical Coach.
